DO I NEED A TRUCK LICENCE?
Yes. This trick requires a LR "light rigid" licence to drive.
The truck has a simple to use 6 speed manual gear box. It has power steering, air conditioning and a reversing camera to make driving easier and more comfortable.
WHAT IS COVERED BY INSURANCE?
While the truck is comprehensivly insured, furniture is not covered under the conditions of the insurance. If you wish to insure the furniture carried there are several online options for single trip furniture insurance.
There is a $1000 excess payable on any damage related insurance claim. Anything under this amount is payable by the hirer. Please refer to our full terms and conditions in relation to damage.
HOW FAR CAN I TRAVEL?
Unless previously negotiated the truck is not permitted to travel in a radius greater than 400km from our base in Auburn, Clare Valley, South Australia.
HOW BIG IS THE TRUCK?
The load carrying dimensions of the truck are 5.3m long, 2.4m wide and 2.4m high.
It has a load carrying capacity of 3 tonnes.
WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A HIRER?
to return the truck in good conditon and advise Horrocks Haul and Hire of any damage or potential issues.
to ensure that the truck is operated within all applicable laws and within the agreed terms and conditions.
to ensure the truck is full of diesel on its return
WHAT FUEL DOES THE TRUCK USE?
The truck runs on Diesel Fuel and the tank is located under the body on the drivers side of the vehicle.
WHATS THE ONE THING I CANT FORGET?
When driving this truck you must always consider the height of the truck. For those not used to driving this type of vehicle , you must look for trees encroaching the side of the road and make sure there are no signs etc overhanding the kerb when you pull over to the side of the road.
WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?
Pre-payment for vehicle hire is required. Costs incurred from extra kilometers on return. A credit card number is held on file as a bond in case of damage.
